Rev. Dr. Rita Hays|Pastor
Rev. Dr. Rita Hays was appointed as pastor of Beech Grove United Methodist Church in 2024. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University (magna cum laude), a Master of Religious Education from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Throughout her ministry, Rev. Dr. Hays has been passionate about teaching, spiritual formation, and helping congregations grow in faith and service. She has authored seven books, and writes adult curriculum material for The United Methodist Publishing House and devotional materials for Warner Press. She is married to her husband, Bill, and together they are the parents of two adult sons.
Brian Gentry|Music Leader
Brian Gentry serves as Music Leader at Beech Grove United Methodist Church. He is a professional musician and music producer with years of experience in recording and performing. Brian has recorded several albums, including projects with Marvin & Gentry, and brings a heart for worship and excellence to the church’s music ministry. He is passionate about using music to help create meaningful worship experiences that draw people closer to God.
